Promoting Bands

Phil McIntyre Entertainments has been producing, promoting and representing acts since 1974.
For twenty years the company was one of the country’s leading rock and roll promoters, working with bands such as The Smiths, Culture Club, New Order, Tears for Fears and Metallica. PME also promoted the Queen and Paul Rodgers 2008 European tour.

The leading promoter of live comedy shows in the UK, Phil McIntyre Entertainments has worked with most of Britain’s top comedians including Rowan Atkinson, Dave Allen, Russell Brand, Billy Connolly, Steve Coogan, Adrian Edmondson, Ben Elton, The Fast Show, Ricky Gervais, The League of Gentlemen, Lenny Henry, French & Saunders, Peter Kay, Patrick Kielty, Little Britain, Rik Mayall, Paddy McGuinness, The Mighty Boosh, Graham Norton, Chris Rock, Shooting Stars and Victoria Wood.

Guest House Paradiso

PME promoted the Olympic medalist skaters Torvill & Dean on four world tours including the longest running show at the Wembley Arena. Subsequently they have co-produced live tours of the smash ITV hit Torvill and Dean’s Dancing On Ice, the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing and ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent.

PME has produced two feature films; Guest House Paradiso starring Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson and Maybe Baby starring Hugh Laurie and Joely Richardson (written and directed by Ben Elton).

Included in their television productions are Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights (Series 1&2) for Channel 4, Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere for Channel 4, Peter Kay Live at Manchester Arena (also Channel 4) Craig Cash’s and Phil Mealey’s Early Doors (Series 1&2) for BBC2, Victoria Wood With all the Trimmings, Victoria Wood’s Midlife Christmas (both BBC1) Victoria at The Albert and the documentaries Acorn Antiques: The Musical! and Victoria Wood: Moonwalking (all ITV1), The Fast Show Live (BBC2) Ben Elton’s Blessed (BBC1) and Get A Grip (ITV), Thin Ice (BBC2) a sitcom set in the cut throat world of amateur ice skating, Adrian Edmondson’s Teenage Kicks (ITV) and most recently Peter Kay’s Britain’s Got the Pop Factor and Possibly a New Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly on Ice
(for Channel 4).

We Will Rock You

The company has had six West End hit plays: Gasping, Silly Cow, Slip of the Tongue, Waiting for Godot, Smaller and the Laurence Olivier Award-winning Popcorn.

In May 2002 ‘We Will Rock You’ opened in London’s West End; a musical collaboration, between Ben Elton, Robert De Niro, Phil McIntyre Entertainment and Queen. This was followed by a co-production of the Olivier winning show 'Our House'. In 2003 Phil McIntyre Entertainment, in association with Arnold Stiefel, produced ‘Tonight’s The Night - the Rod Stewart Musical’ followed by the UK tour of the same. In 2005 ‘Acorn Antiques – The Musical!’ written by Victoria Wood and directed by Trevor Nunn and starring Julie Walters opened for a limited season at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, and was also followed by a successful UK tour.  2009 saw the launch of the We Will Rock You UK tour which opened in Manchester in March.  Into The Hoods, an energetic Hip Hop musical that has been critically acclaimed came to the West End for a successful run and is about to return this summer at The Royal Festival Hall from 30th July.

PME also manages some of the foremost comedic writing and acting talent in the UK including Ben Elton, Victoria Wood, Peter Kay, Craig Cash, Caroline Aherne, Paddy McGuinness, John Cleese and Mark Thomas.
